Spring Cleaning TipsWhen it comes to spring cleaning, it's important to deal with the tidying part first (of course) before cleaning, because it will make cleaning much easier. As the tidying guru Marie Kondo says "Tidying is the act of confronting yourself; cleaning is the act of confronting nature." In Canada (and most countries located much north of the equator), spring cleaning is the transition from winter to spring and preparing the home for enjoying outdoors. Here are some tips that I have that you can use to get your spring cleaning started:
I hope these tips give you some good ideas on how to get your spring cleaning started. Hopefully you have continued doing KonMari throughout your home, but even better if you have completed it already, and then you can do spring cleaning with confidence!

I never considered using Kanso to reorganize your house. I need to get a cleaning service to clean my carpets. I don't have the tools to do it myself.

Great article! The connection between physical and mental health is something that should never be ignored. It’s promising to see that more people are prioritizing their mental well-being, but it’s also clear that there are still disparities in care. Addressing these gaps should be a priority for policymakers, healthcare providers, and communities. Spreading awareness and supporting those in need can truly make an impact. Thank you for sharing this insightful post!

Thanks for sharing this research! The findings highlight the urgent need for better mental health support, especially for young people and marginalized communities. Proactive measures, such as increasing mental health education and access to care, can make a real difference.

I love how this blog highlights the pressure we put on ourselves to have a spotless home. The list of “unspoken ground rules” is so hilariously accurate—from the toothpaste mess to Legos on the carpet. It’s refreshing to read content that mixes humor with the realities of maintaining a clean house. Definitely sharing this with my fellow parents—we all need this laugh and reminder that perfection isn’t realistic!

Great post! I especially liked the idea of organizing outdoor equipment by season—it makes so much sense to switch out snow tools for gardening gear. I’m definitely going to try the peg board idea in my garage this year.
